The creation and development of Gateways Education has been the work and vision of a small group of educators and information technology specialists. The Gateways team are a group of like-minded individuals, each of whom has both personal and professional interests in education.
These include:

Bronwyn MacLeod
Bronwyn MacLeod has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney, a Certificate of Gifted Education and a Master in Education from the University of New South Wales, and is currently undertaking a Ph.D program examining the use and benefit of online learning with gifted students. Her experience includes teaching in state and independent schools in Years K - 12, adult training, postgraduate lecturing and she is co-author of two educational texts on curriculum for gifted students and author of two units of differentiated curriculum. Bronwyn has been a keynote and invited speaker at a number of state and national conferences in gifted education and in technology. She has been a classroom teacher in both the primary and secondary schools for over twenty years, and has also worked for the Department of Education writing and presenting Train the Trainer courses in both Science & Technology, and Design & Technology. Bronwyn is an educational consultant, working extensively throughout Australia and is the coordinator of teacher training programs for the JASON Expedition in the ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC, WA and TAS.

Aaron Seckold
Aaron Seckold is a Director of Gateways Education and part of the information technology and training team for the company. Aaron is one of the coordinators of the JASON Expedition in Australia and New Zealand and conducts teacher workshops and technology professional development sessions in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Western Australia. He has been the main organizer of the JASON Expedition Student Event Days held at the University of New South Wales, developing and conducting programs for over 2 000 students each year. For the last three years, Aaron has also coordinated and lectured at the Australian National JASON Conference attended by education professionals from throughout Australia and New Zealand. 2007 will see the fourth of these conference programs to be held at the Australian Technology Park, Sydney in October. Aaron was awarded two Local Recognitions in the Young Australian of the Year Awards for service to the Arts and Community Services and with a dance and drama teaching background, he has a passion for choreography and all areas of the Creative and Practical Arts.

David Easton
As head of traffic and creative for one of Australia's largest interactive media agencies, emitch, David manages a team of motivated design and technology specialists. Over the past 5 years his background has been built across web design, print and online advertising, and trafficking on both publisher and agency sides.
Starting first in traffic at BMC Media, David was instrumental in the development of new formats in rich media advertising.
Since that time he has worked with emitch to develop creative solutions for clients such as World Vision, Tourism Queensland, Nivea for Men, Colonial First State, and many others.
David is also a Director of Gateways Education and Director of the web design agency Lighthouse Interactive. He brings to Gateways Education his experience in web design, online advertising and IT.

Diana Drummond
Diana Drummond has been teaching for over ten years and has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney. She has also completed the Certificate of Gifted Education at the University of New South Wales and has been the Gifted and Curriculum Coordinator at St Catherine's School, Waverley. Diana is a co-author of Gifted Students in Primary Schools: Differentiating the Curriculum, published by GERRIC at UNSW and is trained in the use of the Spalding technique and Emilio Reggio system in early childhood and primary schools. She has been a guest speaker at a number of education meetings and conferences, has been a regular teacher at GERRIC's Junior Scientia gifted student programs at UNSW, as well as a regular lecturer in the teacher inservice programs.  Diana is currently working part-time as a Kindergarten teacher in an Independent School in Sydney and consulting with schools and educational authorities in NSW and throughout Australia during the rest of her week.

Dr Cathie Harrison
Dr Cathie Harrison is an early childhood educator with more than twenty five years experience within early childhood education and related fields. Cathie has been the director of community based and government pre-schools in NSW and has had fourteen years experience as a lecturer in early childhood education at the University of Western Sydney [UWS], Bankstown Campus. Cathie has a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood from Sydney University, a Master of Education (specializing in gifted education) from the University of NSW and a Doctorate of Education from UWS. Cathie is the author of the book Giftedness in Early Childhood first published in 1999 and recently published for the third time by Gifted Education, Research, Resource and Information Centre [GERRIC] at the University of NSW. Cathie frequently provides lectures for parenting programs organized by GERRIC. Cathie has been an Early Childhood Advisor to ABC Play School since 1999, and consultant to two museum projects ‘Kid's Island', an interactive play space for young children at The Australian Museum and ‘Children+water= fun', an interactive exhibition for children at The National Maritime Museum. Cathie is currently on leave from UWS and now offers a range of consultancy and professional development services to community organizations, government and business sectors and to early childhood educators and families. Her expertise is in the areas of early childhood education, play and learning environments, gifted education and children's television.

Ruth Targett
Ruth Targett has worked as a classroom teacher in Middle School and Secondary settings for ten years and has been involved in the field of gifted education for over eight years. She has her Master in Gifted Education and is currently undertaking study in the field of psychology. Ruth has presented many in-services in both public and independent schools on a variety of topics including curriculum differentiation, programming for differentiated curriculum, leadership issues, the social and emotional needs of gifted children, the characteristics of gifted children and how best to identify gifted children. She has also lectured in English method at the University of NSW at the undergraduate level. Ruth has presented seminars to parents; workshops at postgraduate level in gifted education, has worked as the gifted coordinator in a number of schools and is currently Head of Gifted Education at her school. She has worked with gifted children in a number of contexts including teaching in self-contained gifted classes, running residential programs for gifted high school children and developing mentor programs. Ruth is the author of Perspectives: an English differentiated unit for lower secondary students.

Kirrily Kuschert
Kirrily Kuschert has a Diploma of Teaching and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New South Wales in primary teaching. She has worked in a mobile army school, was Executive teacher/Assistant Principal in a very multicultural school running the K - 2 department and was seconded to  the Early Childhood faculty of the University of Western Sydney, updating students and staff with the latest curriculum changes and supervising student practicums. She also taught both Mathematics set courses and electives and Kirrily continues links with the University through both part time lecturing and practicum supervision. Kirrily became a DET K - 8 District consultant working with over 50 schools in Granville District in NSW and was also chosen to train over 30 New Zealand Mathematics delegates on behalf of the NSW DET. Kirrily was involved in the writing and development team of 'Inquizitive' - a Mathematics K - 6  book series for use in the classroom published by Pearson, has written and consulted for Mimosa Shortland Publications in their K - 6 teacher resources and is currently the K - 6 Manager of online learning for HOTmaths.com, a new Mathematical teaching and learning website. She has a deep interest in home based learning.
