ImageAt the beginning, this appears a serious work of literature in the ilk of John Marsden's "So much to tell you". However, nothing could be further from the truth. Julia and her two friends, Fran and Claude, are spending their first time away from home and are staying in Fran's grandparents' holiday flat. This is a retrospective story with Julia telling her therapist what happened to her from her hospital bed. It is an absolute comedy of errors. Julia has an exceptional imagination which leads to an incredible amount of jumping to conclusions as they encounter a ‘flasher' and an ‘axe murderer'. This is a light hearted look at an overactive imagination combined with the reality of exceptional circumstances. A great story for 11-14 year old girls.
